COMPETITIVE FEES PER SEASON

There is a Non-Refundable Deposit of $400. Installment plans up to 6 mos. are available for remaining balance. 

CLUB STRUCTURE

INCLUDED IN YOUR CLUB REGISTRATION FEES

• Coaching fees.
• Team training fees.
• Goalkeeper training fees.
• Trainers on-site for training and games (MLS Next, ECNL, ECNL-R, NAL)
• 2-4 practices per week depending on the program level and age group.
• KidSafe Program - background checks for all coaches, team managers, administrators, and Directors.
• Primary league team registration fee.
• Player & coach registration for league play.
• ECNL & NAL Showcase fees.
• Elite Senior teams - entry into the OC Cup.
• Referee fees for primary league games.
• Club overhead costs (field maintenance, field equipment, lights, administrative expenses, insurance, utilities)
• Website, Playmetrics, Advertising. 
• College prep program & resources depending on age group & program level.
• Video Analysis depending on the program level and age group.
• Admin support staff.
• Field rental and insurance at third party locations.
• Insurance, utilities and improvements at the Seminole Soccer Complex.

Depending upon age level and playing level, each team will have separate team expenses/fees

which are not covered in club registration fees. These expenses/fees may include the following:

• Tournament registration fees.
• Bus/Van and Hotel expenses for players.
• Travel expenses for the coaching staff.
• State Cup/Region Cup fees/Tournament Fees.
• Referee fees for non-league games.
• Special team events.
• Training equipment.
• Video recording and software (age and program level dependent)
• Your Coach or Team Manager will provide information regarding any team expenses for the season and those fees will be collected separately from club registration fees.

UNIFORMS

Competitive uniforms are not included in the registration fees and are purchased in 2-year cycles. An email will be sent to you regarding uniform ordering instructions in June.

PLAYER & PARENT EXPECTATIONS

It's a team effort, with players, parents, coaches, administrators, and the club all responsible for creating a positive experience both on and off the field.

EXPECTATIONS

COMMUNICATION

• Expect proactive communication efforts from us, including regular updates from both Directors and coaches.
• Expect timely information regarding OC Seminole events and programs.
• Expect prompt attention to any concerns you may have, with assurance that they will be addressed.
• Expect to have any concerns addressed.

TRAINING

• Expect to receive quality training in a positive, learning environment.
• Expect us to uphold our goal to improve your child’s skills, their understanding of the
• game, their physical development, and their growth as children.

GAMES

• Expect the coach to attend games or obtain proper coverage for games.
• Expect age-appropriate instruction at games.

TOURNAMENTS

• Coaches work with Directors to decide on appropriate tournaments for each team.
• We represent OC Seminole at tournaments.

COACHES

• Expect your child’s coach to be a leader and role model for your child.
• Expect your coach to help your child to grow as a person and in their love of the game.
• Expect your coach to demonstrate good sportsmanship and leadership.
• Expect your coach to be prepared for practices and games.

OC-SEMINOLE EXPECTATIONS OF YOUR CHILD

• Be prepared.
• Physically – eating properly, sleep properly.
• Mentally – be excited to play.
• Analyze their play.
• Technically – does your child get out with a ball on their own?
• Watching soccer – does your child watch soccer on television?
• Grades – is your child balancing soccer with their schoolwork?
• To Communicate with the coach about being late or any missed practices.
• To Communicate with the coach about any possible missed games well ahead of the game.
• Players are expected to be at practice on time and you are there to pick them up on time.
• Players need to be properly dressed and have water.
• No parents/guardians are permitted on the field at Seminole Soccer Complex, Boombah or Lake Sylvan Park while training is scheduled. All parents/guardians are to remain behind the purple poles or fence lines at each designated park.
• No dogs are allowed at on premises.
• There is no smoking on premises.
• The club expects players’ parents/guardians to demonstrate behavior that aligns with the club’s core values and beliefs

GAMES

• Make sure your child is on time.
• Make sure they are prepared – physically, mentally.
• Make sure they arrive in the appropriate game-day uniform, always bring both uniform kits,
• and bring water (this is something they should ultimately be responsible for).
• Support your child, team, and coach.
• Respect the referees knowing that it could be your child very soon who will make mistakes
• and should not have adults yelling at them.
• The club expects players’ parents/guardians to demonstrate behavior that aligns with the
• club’s core values and beliefs.
• Parents/guardians are not permitted to approach the coach after the game for discussions about playing time, playing position, complaints, etc. Meetings should be scheduled for another time outside of scheduled team events when the coach is available.
• Communicate with the coach first about any issues related to your child. If the issue is not being resolved, then contact the Director of Coaching
  

FAQ's

Who is eligible for our competitive program?

Our competitive program is open to all 2018 to 2006 Boys and Girls. We do encourage players to at least have one season playing organized soccer, at least recreational or competitive.

Where are practices?

We have three main locations. Seminole Soccer Complex, Boombah Sports Complex and Sylvan Lake Park. Training could be scheduled at any of the three locations. Locations and time changes are made due to daylight savings.

When are practices?

Depending on the level of the team will determine the number of practices they have. Practices are held Monday - Friday from 5:00pm-9:00pm depending on the team.

Training schedules will be available 2-4 weeks prior to the Fall and Spring season.

• MLS & ECNL train 4 nights per week.
• NAL & ECNL-RL train 3-4 nights per week.
• NPL and Elite trains 2-3 nights per week.
• Select 1-2 nights per week.
• Pre MLS and Pre ECNL train 2-3 nights per week.
• FCL and Elite Jr teams train 2-3 nights per week.

How long is the season?

A competitive season runs from August through early-May. There are a handful of older higher level teams that will go past May for playoffs, but typically most teams will complete their season in late April, early May.

What are the travel requirements?

MLS Next, NAL, ECNL-RL and NPL will travel through Florida for their league games on the weekends. ECNL Girls have games in the Southeast region that includes Florida, Alabama, Atlanta and South Carolina. U12 Pre MLS and Pre ECNL will travel throughout Florida. U11 Pre MLS and Pre ECNL and below, plus GCF teams have “local” travel (greater central Florida). These league games do not include tournaments. Teams can participate in 2-3 tournaments in the Fall and again in the Spring. These could include local events within Orlando that do not require hotel or travel, but plan on at least one tournament in the Fall and one in the Spring to require travel and a hotel. Most of these tournaments will be played in places like Jacksonville, Tampa, South Florida and Melbourne. 

What is the cost?

The evaluation process is free.

If your child is selected and placed on a competitive team after October, you will receive a registration email to register. Since your child is joining late, they will receive a prorated fee. The registration fees do not include uniforms or team fees. Parents will have the options to pay in full or select a payment plan.

Uniforms are approximately $300, however it includes only one practice uniform. With multiple practices a week, players may choose to order additional practice uniforms separately. Please note that we are in the final season of our 2-year cycle. This means only NEW players joining our competitive program in the Fall 2024 season will be required to order uniforms. 

Club Registration Fees do not include team fees. Team fees may include, but not limited to showcase/tournament entry fees, player travel, coaching staff’s travel expenses (hotel, mileage and per diem), team equipment fees and mileage for any regular season game more than 35 miles one way from your home park. Players are responsible for their portion of fees, including any team event your child is not able to attend. Your team manager will provide a team budget closer to the start of your season. Please note that both club and team fees must be kept current in order to be considered in good standings.

What are the next steps?

Once your child accepts, then the registration progress begins. You will get an email from the club to complete the registration process and make your payment. You will also receive an email regarding uniform ordering, jersey # assignment and the steps to complete the age verification process.
